Ah, Chinese New Year in a few days time! I haven started my assignment. I'm so lazy, but holidays are holidays. haha.

Had dinner @ Kissaten, IOI Boulevard with my pretty darlings and friends to celebrate birthday. KL suggested that place since there's fusion, japanese and also western food there. Sounds interesting, even googled it, it looks interesting, so yeah, why not?

After dinner, headed to Genting. Ah, yes, in the middle of the night. It had been more than 10 years I've last been there. Excited, because this time I'm going with my loved ones. :') To my surprise, there were so many cars even when it's in the middle of the night. Guess people don't sleep when there's casino. #yawn.

It was a good day, had a lot of fun hanging out with both of my high school friends. After so many years, our friendship are still standing strong. We were always there for each other, talking about crazy, funny, mad, gossips, personal things and we would crack jokes out of everything we say to entertain ourselves. Money can't buy our years of friendship and it shows that we value our friendship even when we don't get to meet up as often as we use to anymore. We value the time we spent together although it is only for a few hours. Ah, love you guys so much! :D

Last week, it's a birthday week and trust me, I have been spending a lot because everyone(s) birthday is in January, but anyhow, last Tuesday was Shi Ying's 20th birthday! Well we didn't do much but let the pictures speak for itself. We had psychology class early in the morning and I must say, it is one of the most relaxing class. KeenYan, Sylvia and I decided to entertain ourselves. :D

Left after having the cake session since I had something on later on that day, anyhow! Moving on to Friday, it was Sylvia's birthday! Well, I know, she's been waiting for it. Although on that day when I was on the way to college, radio dj kept saying " IT's FRIDAY 13th ". Yeah bad luck day, and I kept laughing at Sylvia. Trust me, it wasn't easy to plan a good surprise for her. She was constantly asking all of us what are we going to do on that day. Yawn. Anyhow, we kept snapping crazy photos that day. Well, instead of thinking it's going to be a bad day because its 'bad luck' day, I must say I had been laughing like mad with Sylvia and KL that day. We were asked to write an essay and we chose the topic "How to make an Oreo milkshake?" Oh well, we had lots of fun discussing it. Even got into an argument when we were writing essay, laughed till our tummy hurts. That's how the day went, and because we were the first to finish our essay, we decided to snap a lil photos. Or..a lot.

Ah, I was having a hard time thinking what to get for her and how to make her card. She was constantly demanding for a very very nice card. I nearly died doing her card because each time I come back home from college, I was mad exhausted that at one point I nearly fall asleep doing her card, but..oh well, I think the card is not bad. Got her a photo frame instead of getting her some fancy gifts because photo frame is keep-able and memorable at the same time. So whenever she wakes up, she sees my face. haha. Although not everyone attended the short birthday lunch, but I have to say, we had a lot of fun that day, laughing over crazy stupid things, fooling around with each other. People constantly change and friends come and go, it doesn't matter if they didn't show up, it's the matter of how much they mean to you, vice versa. Well, :)

Because people say, you don't bond in a day..

Because we know, trust need time.

Because we know, one day we'll eventually get closer.

One year passed, time flies, memories remain, arguments continued, laughter got louder, pictures lesser but friendship got closer. To know someone on the first day of class, to be able to meet new friend and have lunch with on the very first day..to talk a lot about our family and ourselves and then we became closer day by day. We rocked presentation and assignments, we spend most money on food, and we laugh about almost everything possible. *coughs.

Today is my good friends' birthday. Her name is Sylvia.

No doubt it was college that brought us closer, we would stick together when it comes to doing our college work, assignments, group work etc, lunch. We spend most of our time together and we met a bigger group of awesome friends. We were so so so close that we use to skype nearly everyday last time. We just bond so well together we had so many to talk!

We got closer...closer and closer everyday and there was more laughter, lame jokes, stories to exchange, and trust towards each other. We were always honest towards each other and open towards the things we share. We know what and when to share something, we know when to get serious with our work. A lil by lil, you'll then understand more about each other.

It was always 5 of us that spend most of our time together when we got to know each other. It was all about eating. No kidding! We do lots of things together, and we even make our own 'theme' day like etc, hair accessories day and we had to wear something on our hair, or so, we would even 'themes' such as wear red day, dress like a korean day, heels day, sandals day, shorts day, Sunway-U tee day. It might sound immature to some or most, but we just find it fun! But days like that didn't last. It just vanished. lol.

We even bought the same hairband in different colors and wear it together. ^^

Remember those days when we always walk all the way to Pyramid just to have this set lunch tomyam rice that burns my tongue and you went like "Hot meh, I think it's okay." We were so addicted to this that we even bring our friends there. Hhaha. and probably we're done eating that now. Oh wait! Forgetting something?

What's this? Tomyam fried rice @ Orange! We always ordered this if we dine in nearby our college. Yes, tomyam everywhere. It was so big portion and we would share it each time we order. Its awesome!

When it comes to group presentation, it was always the 4 of us that always stick to each other hoping and expecting the best from our own group and score high scores. I remember when we had to create a product for our Critical Thinking presentation, Sylvia and I went all the way to Pyramid to meet up one of my ex classmate to discuss about the drawing, like as if we were doing some big business, while eating we were planning, discussing, drafting. Man...we were so serious and so determined to rock our assignments back then. What happened bobo? HAHAH. But anyhow, each time we finished our presentation, we would always go back to our sit with happy faces knowing that YES, we have done well. Job well done to ourselves. ;) *self comfort.

Teachers day where we ushered that day. For the very first time. :D

Meeting my good friend, guess what? A lot of people said that they looked alike. No? I was really happy that we were so close! Two great friends I have with me, what more can I ask for?

Cus we constantly do stupid things in class to entertain ourselves when we were bored. In semester 1, we would always snap photos. Everywhere, almost everyday! Gosh, how did we manage to do that back then?
Groups of friends became bigger and bigger somehow, and soon we call it the extended family for some reason we were just close with each other. :)

Now I ask you, do you remember those days when we would go all the way back to college just to meet up and do our assignment in the computer lamb? Do you remember those days when we would always book the a.v room with our extended family to study for our finals? To fool around because of the space there, to watch movie and to finish up our assignment, it was like our territory. Do you remember those days when we would text each other talking about volcano(s)? LAUGH OUT LOUD. Do you remember those days we use to text each other fighting over those sweet texts that Choo Ling and Jia Sin would sent to us? Do you remember when we always snap photo and we always demand for retakes or to threaten each other to delete the ugly wants? Do you remember when we always go Starbucks to finish up our work, which major fail because we always end up doing something else, etc eating.

Those days when we always eat waffle, chocolate + peanut butter waffle for me and chocolate waffle for you. On nom nom, it's so yum yum!

So there, Happy 19th birthday my personal bobo. We had so much fun together, everyday in college there's laughter, there's story and there's so many thing to talk about. We talk all day till night, we had so so so much fun together, what would college be like without you if I didn't met you? What would it be like without having a friend who will instantly turn into a grandma, keep nagging what to eat and not eat when you're sick. What would it be when there's no you to always let us stare when you say something clumsy and we would always call you the 'superstitious' lady. What would it be like when I don't have you to spill everything at when I'm happy, excited, angry, sad, depress and sad. What would it be like if you weren't the one that came all the way to Fahrenheit 88 to give me 101% support for my competition telling me, "Brenda, you can do this! Don't look down on yourself. " What would it be like without having you as my assignment partner where we would rocked everything presentation given and how perfect we wanted it to be. What would it be like if it wasn't you who always want to snap pictures all the time, although sometimes, too much. HAHA.

It was you that was there for me when I needed someone to talk to, when I needed advice, support, opinions. It was you that cared for me as a friend. It was you that made me feel appreciated and it was you that made me feel so grateful to have you as my friend. Yes, time flies and it's been nearly a year now. All those days when we would laugh at the silliest thing we do, those days when we were called '7-11' in class cus we talked so much. Those days when we say "Okay! This week is low cost week" but we always end up spending so much for unnecessary things..or is it me? Haha. Days when we always share good food around with our friends. Going all the way to PJ for their famous nasi lemak, going all the way to Summit for their Thai food. Going all the way to Yuen Buffet Steamboat to enjoy with our college mates. Days when we will be so honest with each other and when we have doubts we would just go straight to each other and just speak it all out to avoid misunderstandings.

To me, you're like another clone of Pui Hwa but the superstitious and conservative version. AHAHA. To people who is wondering who's Pui Hwa,

Pui Hwa is another good friend of mine since high school. Somehow she clicks with all my friends and most of them thinks that they look alike. They look so alike that even some people gets confuse and mistakenly called Pui Hwa, "Sylvia". Yes, both look alike, but both have very different personalities. When I'm with them, I'm just me, very me. I go crazy in front them, I cry in front of them I go angry in front of them, so did the both of them. They were the one who had always been there for me, even when I did something real wrong, they would be the one telling me it's not right to do so. Words of encouragement, words that showed me love as a friend, Sylvia.

You see us smizing? YEAH, it is true we were laughing real bad with our mouth covered. Candid shot but yet its a million dollar picture. Haha, that was how much fun and happiness we had with each other. Days pass by, though we no longer snap photos, though we were much serious in everything we do now, there we get to understand more about each other. Things where you will not know if you didn't take time to observe and understand about one and another. Hm, I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but like what my mom say, good friends will always be good friends no matter how apart we are with each other. I cherish each and every moment we had together, I'm beyond happy knowing you because my life had been so great. With you here, there's nothing I'm shy about, I need not worry how ugly I am in front of you, I need not worry how dumb I am when I talk with you.

Those memories we had, I'll always remember it. I wish you the best, and I'll always love you, as a friend. Happy 19th birthday bobo. With lots of love, from the extended family and me. :')

2011 have come to an end, hah, fast isn't it. I can conclude that 2011 had been a blast! People definitely change, in a way of how one personally think, and in a way how they act. People grow up by knowing more, learning more and experiencing more. What more can I ask when I have personally learned so many things?

January,

2010, I have been selected to serve for the country, despite how much I didn't want to go National Service at first, I went. I remember the day before I left my house, I was so busy listing down what to bring there, trust me, it was like I was about to shift. Then, I remembered that when I went on the bus, my mommy teared a lil. ;') Lucky me! My camp is just an hour drive from my place. It's at Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor. My camp is called Kem Geo Kosmo, sounds weird right? I know. Going there with no friends, I instantly met one in the bus, her name was Angelyn from Sri Andalas, I didn't know where that was. When I reached there, there were already lots of people there and..I thought there were from the previous batch or something but I was wrong. I was assigned to DORM 8, the last dorm and I was in Kumpulan Delta, the green team. :D

At the same time, we were allowed to use our hand-phones for the first week, isn't that cool? Unlike other camps where they kept the phone right away! In the first week itself, I met a lot of new friends. Of course, I couldn't remember much what happened when I was in National Service, it's like 9 months ago or so. Bear with it!

This is how our dorm looks like, where we need to change our bed sheet every 2 weeks if not mistaken, we had to clean everything, yes including the toilet, cupboards, windows, floor.

Because one of em' had to leave us due to personal reasons, we agreed on taking crazy pictures together as a memory. Felt kinda sad because we were so close, laughing like mad nearly every time when we were together sitting down, talking about everything like we have know each other for a very long time. :'(

Moving on, in National Service, we had to go for classes to. I kid you not! Classes nearly everyday, sometimes even till noon. :( To me it was kind of boring when we had no activities in between the classes.
Each time the topic we learned finished, we change class, it also means we get to meet more friends from everywhere! :)

Of course not all classes are boring, in National Service, we have to create our own group cheer, songs to support our own group, even in classes too! I think my camp is cool, in a way we were allowed to bring camera and MP3 to kill our boredom. Time passes by, let the picture do the explanations. :)

These pictures are taken before Chinese New Year holiday, yes! We have 4 days holiday but we could extend 3 more days, but of course our allowance will be deducted! Nothing free in this world. Hoho.

We went mud crawling, crawl over the wall, monkey rack which I failed miserably, crawling in the tunnel and we got our teacher putting mud all over our face!

Yeah, this is how our food looks like, appetizing no? Trust me, it's not that bad, maybe because we're so use to it already. I remember each time when it is time for us to eat, all of us would run like a gorilla because nobody likes lining up! But oh well, I think their sambal is awesome. :D Days past by, and of course we are use to it, bathing with cold waters, bathing early in the morning, sometimes 3 in the morning if there's important activities. Even so, we always sing and talk when we're bathing. Time is running out, we bond, we laugh, we share stories, we share experiences, we help one another, we learn more, we understood more, we care for each other. It was like one big family staying together, seeing each other everyday. Staying with about 20 girls in a room? Ohohoh, there's a lot stuffs you will know.

Towards end of National Service, we had community service activities. We were given papers, we had fit everyone in the paper, no tearing or cutting papers! Couldn't believe we could make it, with 40+ people in the circle and we still have spaces to breathe at least!

Besides this we also had straw games, we were given a few packets of straws and we had to make a tower base on a few criteria, stability, highest.

Failed miserably, the base is too small, that is why it's not stable, highest? AHAH

Then we also have outdoor activities, volleyball, and I'm so happy and proud to say I've joined it. With no experience playing volleyball, trained only for a few days, trust me, if you don't know how to serve the ball properly, your hand actually hurts hitting the ball.

Though we didn't win, and we shed a lil tear because we had a slight chance that we would have won the game, but it's okay, after all, I'm so happy that I manage to play well that day. *inside laughs*

Because we were constantly under the sun, constantly eating to kill boredom, yeah, gained weight, tanned myself. :'(

Not to forget, we have shooting session, yes, with a M16 but before that take place, we actually had to learn about the gun, what position and how to aim, shoot all those kind of things, yeah. We had to wake up at 3am and head to Sungai Besi for shooting session.

Um, I didn't do that well. HAHAHA, it was hard for me but it was fun. 20 bullets only, so our job is to just keep load and shoot. shoot shoot and shoot.

Days before finishing our National Service, each group had to come out with a performance during the last night in our camp. So yes, we decided to do a dance! Chinese, Malay, Hindu and Bangla dance and of course we had to practice.

2 days before the end of first batch National Service, we had camping to do, the day that I have not been waiting for, because I dislike insects so much, because I dislike using the bags and food case that they provided so much, because we were about to stay in the jungle. Gosh. Trust me, I kept spraying mosquito repellent all the way. AHAH. Guess what? After walking for hours, we walked back to our camp. -__________- and we had to make our own tent.

I can't remember much about what have I been through in NS, but thing I know is that, I've learned a lot there. We are as though one big family, without caring what race are we, where are we from, rich or poor, skinny or fat, we're one. When there's a problem, when we face conflict, we face it together. When one is sick, we care for each other, when there's a competition, we plan and fight through it, when we cry, we cry together. Well, I can definitely say that National Service is fun. People should change their mindset thinking that National Service is scary, disgusting etc. It's not that bad actually, because you'll get use to it, sleeping with only fan, bathing with only cold water, living without using mobile phones and laptops. Everyday we line up in order, we march, we sing, we cheer, we learn. Learning not to complain what food they serve, facilities they have provided, to fight through obstacles, it's something I can't explain it unless you experienced it yourself. You get a free opportunity to meet new friends from all around, different backgrounds, what more can you ask? You get to play when it's time to play, you get to show your talent when there's an activity, you can share your stories when there are classes. Nobody is going to look down on you unless you look down on yourself. This is one experience that I will never forget. ;') Time flies when good things happen.

After National Service, weeks later it was my turn to face college. Not knowing anyone there, once again being alone, but once class started, I remember the scene where I saw this girl having the same bag as I do walking towards the seat and I immediately followed her, didn't know her name, I was peeking her water bottle that had her name on it. Her name is Sylvia. On the first day itself, we had a lil presentation and we both presented and then we went to Pyramid for lunch together since there was this canopy walk which they say takes about 5 minutes only. *coughs. We both end up eating @ Toilet Bowl since we both had never been there before,

Some way and somehow, we bonded really well and we talked a lot, both found out each others similarities and we just kept talking like we have known each other for quite some time. So, college started quite good eih?

Nothing much there actually, went there once and that's it. :) College was taking over my time and of course I had to make more new friends, and indeed I did, Sylvia asked a few of her new friends for lunch at Pyramid. They are from Muar, cool not?

I was quite scared at first because the needle was thick, remembered the nurse kept hitting my hand cus my blood was flowing really slow. Insufficient blood I have.

August,

I decided to join MiRRORs Ambassador Search 2011/12.

Around August, we had an assignment, and we decided to go to the orphanage. I have never been to an orphanage and it was my first time, the day before the visit, my friends and I planned what to buy, what to bring for the lil kids. The orphanage house is called Yayasan Sunbeam Home in Cheras. Again, it is something that I would never forget. Before leaving to the orphanage house, we meet at up college foyer to practice a lil songs and movements because the orphans are Christians.

Small but loud speaker, we blast it in the foyer not caring what others thought about us.

When we went in, no one communicated with us, the kids isolated themselves from us as though we were monsters, but Fiona decided to started to talk to them yet they were at their own side, as you can see,

Before we left, we gave them souvenirs, we gave them a tight hug and asked them to take care of themselves. Somehow I was really emotional when they asked "Are you coming back again next week?" I didn't expect to feel what I've felt when I go back home, especially when I did my presentation I felt so sad inside, cus I was thinking everyone deserve to have love and to have a family care for them. Well, guess we wouldn't know what their parents have gone through to have them make decision to put their child in the orphanage. I wouldn't judge, because some might have their own difficulties, or so, they are just irresponsible. Then again, I would only say, after the visit, I learned to appreciate my family more, more than I do before. To learn to be more grateful for what I have today, after all what do the orphans have? We have more privilege, what do they use? Most of the things are donated because of the large amount of orphans all over. ;') Mommy told me that, it doesn't mean that if you want to help the orphan, you have to adopt that particular person, you can help them by giving them money, for their studies or so on. ;)

In August, it is also one of my girlfriend's birthday. Her name is Choo Ling. Because she couldn't celebrate with her family this year, since her house is all the way in Johor, we celebrated with her @ TGIF. She had no idea that we were all celebrating her birthday.

Because we love food so much, we went to Yuen Buffet Steamboat with college mates and ate like hungry gorillas. It's famous for its chicken wings and trust me, it taste like heaven.

OH I LOVE AND MISS THIS SO MUCH! It's at Village Park and famous for its nasi lemak. The price is reasonable and it taste awesome. It's a must try!

On the 10th November, I had my SEMIFINALS @ Fahrenheit 88, KL. What we had to do was, to get the public to snap a photo with us. If they want to grab a chance to win RM500, they have to do a funny pose and get people like it on MiRRORs page!

Last day of SEMIFINALS, there's no more snapping photos but there's make up talent. Pfft, I know nothing about make up. Of course not so easy, we were given themes,

I had no idea about those make up, I had to google and youtube, even tried it myself and failed badly. I think the hardest is trying to put on fake lashes because I have no knowledge about make up, but I'm use to it now. Yay myself! :D

Somewhere around November, I had photo-shoot with Lewis Jay, for the very first time. Again, KL and William were the ones that accompanied me through the whole process. :) I don't usually wear jeans because I feel that I don't look good in it. But well, let the outcome speak for itself. :)

December,

MiRRORs Finalist had a few activities and the first activity was Keep Slim Workshop @ Puchong and SpartanZ Class @ Body Express, Subang Avenue. First we went for the workshop, had a lil meeting with Joel explaining to us what we need to know. So yes, we had a little photoshoot since KeepSlim is one of the sponsors and they are giving out the title 'Ms.Keep Slim Bodyline' and 'Miss.Popularity'. With no make up on, we do what we need to do!

Time for class.

This helps to clear your intestine! It's good for everyone, you can get it at any organice shop. How to make it? You need water, lemon, and of course psyllium husk! First put a lil psyllium husk in your cup, add a little lemon, add honey to give a little more flavoring then just add water and there! you can have your healthy cup of drink! :D

There, 2011. Looking back on what I did, while blogging this, I was laughing at the pictures I took with my friends. Still, I can't believe I went NS! To me, it changed me a lot, in a way not everyone feels that way. It came to one point where I start to think myself and there..everything changes. To make changes in life, you need to get rid of what you use to it and start it new. I did. I feel that I did. People often change, for the bad or good? Other people judges what you show and how you act. I had a lot of fun back in National Service. I did things I never thought I would have done, I learn things I never thought I could learn from there, I met new friends that I would never meet if I decided to runaway it.

Yes, you need to obey rules there, yes, we were not allowed to use mobile and computers, but with so many people there for you to talk with, so many activities ready for you to face, there's no time for that! We had no air cond to sleep with, no comfy beds to lay on. Yes, we sweat in the noon and we often feel so sweaty when we have short naps in the noon, but we adapt and get use to it. Just like when we bathe, there's no heater, there's only cold water, still we get use to it. You shiver when you bathe early in the morning but yes, you either bathe or be as smelly as you want. At first, I felt so tired waking up so early that I fall asleep so fast at night, after some time, you just wake up automatically. Sometimes you get punished and you have to stand so long, it hurts your leg, memories..memories. All the shoutings, cheers and tears. :')

and then it comes down to college, I had a wonderful time having new more new friends. I met real awesome group of friends and friendship still remains. Misunderstandings rarely and barely happen because after all, what's the point of arguing with your own group of friends. Even so, if there is, we solve it quick and put it behind and remain good friends. My friends were really supportive in everything I do, especially the recent competition I joined, MiRRORs. They were happy I joined it and they gave a 101% support. When there are votings, they helped me share it around, when those votings involves money for each vote, or 10 votes, they were willing to vote unlike me who didn't even vote for myself. lol. We were just really happy when we are together, having lunch, in class, going for a movie together, go shop together, we often talk nonsense, crack a joke, telling stories, even ghost stories before watching horror film, but after all, we are going to graduate real soon. :'(

Where as academic wise, I'm really satisfied so does my parents. Back when I was in high school, I often food around with my studies, procrastinating I often get moderate or bad results. People change, and after all, I don't want to disappoint my parents. In whatever things I do, studies are really important to me. Mom told me that, yes you can have fun, you can do whatever things you want as long as my results are good. We're good. Of course, I don't want to repeat the same mistake to flunk or to get bad results again. The past shall remain the past.

Life for me have changed and I'm pretty satisfied with what I have now, as what, I still have my high school darling with me, although we don't meet each other that often, talk that often anymore, we still catch up with each other once in awhile. To me, no matter what if you're good friends, nothing can stop us from being friends, unless you decided to downgrade yourself and be immature to start a fight. You meet friends all around, like when I joined MiRRORs Ambassador Search, we see each other as competitors. What about now?

We had so much fun together, instead of calling each other competitiors, we bond and have so much fun together when we spend time together for the activities, especially when we were grouped up to create a 15 minutes performance for our FINALS that is coming soon. :) Who would ever thought we would have so much fun together? Going lunch together, talking a lil more about ourselves and our family, a lil bit about our personal life. Here before I leave, here are the TOP 12 FINALIST. (pictures were grabbed)
